scanit© gives you the same search facilities from your internet-enabled mobile phone or PDA, from which you can request selected documents to be forwarded to a specified email address, or sent to a local fax machine for your convenience.

When filing a document in scanit©, you can specify who within your organisation is permitted access to it. scanit© keeps a full audit trail of who has accessed what and when, which you can view at any time. In addition, scanit© uses the latest internet security technologies to ensure that your crucial documents are kept away from prying eyes and would-be hackers.

So how does it work?

You need just 2 things to be able to start using the scanit© service straight away: access to the internet, and access to a fax machine. To submit a document to scanit©, simply fax your document to the scanit© 'lo-call' number, together with a pre-filled fax header, and scanit© does the rest! Within minutes, your document is processed through scanit©'s state-of-the-art 'Optical Character Recognition' system (OCR) which extracts all of the text within your document, indexes the extracted text to enable you to do searches on it, and then files the new electronic version of your document securely in the scanit© system, ready for you to access it via the internet at any time.
